Enjoy this tour of Christ’s birth in pictures!
We gallivanted in Galilee, journeyed along the Jordan, navigated Nazareth and blew through Bethlehem. Each picture leads to Christ’s birth. Each place in Israel was a reminder that Jesus lives. He was born in this country and walked the streets here. Shepherd’s rejoiced in this field at the announcement of His birth!
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. Luke 1:26-27
View of Nazareth from Mount Precipice:
Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. Luke 2:4-5
View of Bethlehem:
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:8-10
